District Cooling Pumps for Palazzo Versace Hotel, Dubai

Palazzo Versace Dubai is a luxury and resort hotel in Culture Village on the foreshore of Dubai Creek, United Arab Emirates. The total construction cost was AED 2.3 billion.

It was developed on 130,000 square metres (1,400,000 sq.ft.). It includes restaurants, spa, 169 condominium residences & penthouses, 150 hotel rooms and 65 suites. Palazzo Versace uses public spaces designed to showcase art, sculpture and other artifacts. These spaces include landscaped gardens and grounds with promenades, terraces, water features, reflection pools and fountains.

Ten DESMI NSL 125-330 pumps were successfully installed on site during the construction of this project for district cooling, with a capacity of 2400 ton of refrigiration.

The pumps have been in continuous operation since their installation in 2011 by RSS. Some of the key words when selecting DESMI NSL centrifugal pumps were:

- Reliablility
- Energy-efficiency
- Space saving
- Little maintenance
- Reduced noice level

The Site Manager, Mohammed Samir Akil says: “The pumps are reliably working under high temperatures of up to 55⁰ C during summer. The only service required since 2011 has been greasing the pump bearings”.
