DESMI Opens an Office in Sweden

As part of the endeavours to get closer to the customers, DESMI opened a new office in Gävle, north of Stockholm, Sweden, on 1 May 2016.

Gävle is situated in the part of Sweden, where forestry meets iron industry. At the same time it is close to the growth region Mälardalen, having the northern part of Sweden within reach.

”We have sold our solutions through distributors and directly from our company in Denmark for several years, but we want to be closer to our customers and share our expert knowledge and competences within district heating and district cooling etc. with them. Sweden is our close neighbour and the Swedish construction activity is steadily increasing, so we consider it an obvious market to pursue our ambitions to grow on new markets,” says Henrik Ottesen, Managing Director, DESMI Danmark A/S.

DESMI has hired a salesman in Sweden and together with the existing distributors and more salesmen, he will pursue the ambition to have DESMI activities in Sweden on the same level as in the other Nordic countries, Denmark and Norway.

DESMI covers the segments Marine & Offshore, Industry, Oil Spill Response, Defence & Fuel, and Utility. In recent years the company has also set up in India, Tanzania, and Poland and at this point in time, DESMI has subsidiaries in 30 locations in 17 countries worldwide.
