IoT Solutions

Make your equipment smarter with IoT

IoT solutions and smart sensors can be installed on equipment such as pumps, connecting pumps and systems to the digital world. By adding sensors and connectivity, pumps can share real-time data on performance, energy use, and condition. This turns every pump into a source of insight that helps you run operations more efficiently.

IoT solutions also enables remote monitoring, predictive maintenance, and optimized energy consumption – reducing downtime, cutting costs, and extending equipment life. It also provides the data needed for compliance and sustainability goals, while giving engineers and operators easy access to pump performance anytime, anywhere.

How IoT works

With IoT solutions, your pumps and systems are continuously monitored. Live data gives both you and your team a full overview of performance, helping ensure stable and reliable operation around the clock. The process of IoT can be broken down into three steps.

1. Sensors
Smart sensors are installed on pumps to measure key parameters such as flow, pressure, temperature, vibration, and energy use. These sensors continuously track pump performance during operation.

2. Data Collection

The sensor data is securely transmitted through gateways and cloud solutions, where it is stored and processed. Advanced analytics filter out noise and highlight what matters most – from unusual patterns to efficiency losses.

3. Insights on Dashboard
The processed data is presented in an easy-to-use dashboard. Engineers and operators can access real-time information, receive alerts, and review performance trends. The dashboard provides actionable insights to support predictive maintenance, energy optimization, and smarter decision-making.

Why invest in IoT Solutions?

  • Reduce downtime - Real-time monitoring alerts you before failures happen, helping you avoid costly breakdowns and production stops.

  • Lower maintenance costs - Predictive insights show when service is actually needed – preventing both over-maintenance and unexpected repairs.

  • Save energy and resources - IoT data reveals inefficiencies in pump operation, so you can optimize performance and cut energy consumption.

  • Increase equipment lifetime - By keeping pumps within safe operating conditions, IoT extends the life of critical assets.

  • Improve decision-making - All performance data is collected in one digital dashboard, making it easier to plan investments and optimize operations.

  • Stay competitive - IoT helps companies adapt to stricter regulations, sustainability goals, and the demand for more efficient operations.

Pump Surveillance and Flow Calculation

IoT turns pumps into connected assets by combining sensor data with secure communication and analytics. Instead of relying on manual checks, operators can see how a pump is performing in real time, compare it to normal operating patterns, and receive alerts when something changes. This is the foundation for pump surveillance and flow calculation.

Pump Surveillance uses IoT to monitor pump operation remotely, providing insight and alerts that support reliable performance and proactive maintenance.

Flow calculation then adds a deeper performance view, especially in installations where there is no flow meter installed. Using two pressure measurements (the difference between inlet and outlet pressure) combined with revolutions per minute (RPM), the system can estimate the pump’s flow.

This makes it possible to track flow trends and efficiency over time and identify when the pump is operating outside its expected range—supporting optimization and faster decision-making.

Together, pump surveillance and flow calculation show not only whether a pump is running, but how well it is running, using IoT to turn operational data into actionable insight.
