DESMI Participates in Danish Navy Ship Visit to USA and Canada
In commemoration of the bicentennial of the war of 1812 between USA and the English Empire a number of festive events will take place along the east coast of USA in connection with OpSail 2012 in June. The Danish navy ship HDMS Esbern Snare will take part in these events in Norfolk, Baltimore, and Boston respectively. Furthermore, the ship will also make a short visit to Halifax and participate in a major naval exercise during the voyage.
The members of Naval Team Denmark (including DESMI) have been given the opportunity to use the ship for exhibition / promotion, when it arrives in the above ports. DESMI will have three containers on the flex deck and the helicopter deck of the ship where we will exhibit pump systems and oil spill response equipment.
The ship will be open for visitors during the stay in the ports and we have invited a number of guests. Furthermore, the Danish authorities have sent invitations to a number of important contacts that the participating companies would like to introduce to their products.
HDMS Esbern Snare will end the voyage on 14 July 2012.
