Oil containment booms

RO-BOOM is available in a wide variety of sizes to suit all operating conditions - from the largest 3.5 meter (RO-BOOM 3500) model, down to inshore models with 0.6 meters overall. Each of them share the advanced materials and construction techniques perfected over 25 years.

RO-BOOM oil containment boom is manufactured in heavy duty neoprene rubber. The unique construction ensures complete cross vulcanization of the composite materials resulting in a finished product with high abrasion resistance, peel resistance and tensile strength. RO-BOOM lies completely flat when deflated allowing easy cleaning, storage, recovery and maintenance. Individual air chambers provide high integrity - even if one air chamber is deflated the freeboard is maintained by adjacent air chambers. RO-BOOM is fitted with stainless steel fittings and hot galvanized ballast/tension chain, secured with reinforced chain attachment points. Internal fibre glass rods with stainless steel brackets ensure optimum skirt profile under tow.

RO-BOOM is operated worldwide by state and industry response organizations. On average 200 meters can be deployed in under 15 minutes using our high capacity air blowers. RO-BOOM has been selected by many offshore oil spill response organizations due to its durability, sea-keeping, ease of maintenance and stability under tow.
