Vessels

RO-CLEAN DESMI has been designing and selling Oil Spill Response vessels since 1979. As an oil spill incident seldom occurs our versatile design allows them to be used for multiple functions in a harbour. So far we have delivered more than 40 vessels all around the world.

Our speciality is the Zero Relative Velocity Skimmer function in a Catamaran type of vessel.  In between the hulls a Mop Rope System is mounted allowing the vessel to sail with a speed of up to 6 knots during oil recovery operations. Due to the large deck space on a Catamaran it is possible to have on board hydraulically driven winders with several hundred metres of boom and skimmers operated from the ship’s powerful hydraulics.

As a speciality the wheelhouse can be raised to allow a full working area on the main deck. We can offer kitchen, toilet/shower, air conditioning/heating, dispersant spray systems, side sweeps, fire fighting monitor, crane, etc. 

The vessels have so far been delivered in lengths of 10 – 19 metres. Besides the Catamarans, we have also delivered mono hull Oil Recovery Vessels which are also suited for multi function roles in harbours.
